Climate:
The climate of this region is typically influenced by the monsoons which are responsible for rainfall in two different periods of the year :
- period of long rains from March to May;
- period of short rains in November and December.

At other times other hand, varies with altitude. We will find a tropical climate (hot and humid) along the coastline, a climate cooler and drier in the central highlands and lower temperatures than the mountains.

When to go:
excellent destination throughout the year, note, however, that from July to October there is a greater influx of tourists and therefore prices are higher.
From November to February, tourism tends to decline (except over Christmas and New Year) and therefore the costs.
From March to May is entered instead in the rainy season, which means that the cost is cut down significantly, but also becomes more difficult to move because of road conditions.

If you go with an organized tour is a very expensive destination, with a trip to do it yourself instead of the costs are much lower.

Vaccinations:
only compulsory vaccine is for yellow fever.
