The end of a dream

I was living my dream, my dream!

who managed to get some of my mail knows that traveling alone in Madagascar has not always been easy, but I was getting on me just fine ... I've experienced something fantastic thanks to the people and places encountered on the streets and idyllic. Most of the time I slept and lived in small villages, and I learned a lot about the various cultures that come together on this island.
gasatissima and I was full of desire to continue this journey full of discoveries, but the night somewhere between 18 and Nov. 19 my dream was abruptly interrupted.

I am in a small village on the east coast: Soanierana-Ivongo. It is the terminus
My Taxi Brousse (local public transport), from there I'm going to contionuare with another car to Mananara, but the 4x4 (the only ones who manage to venture out on that road disaster) do not spend all day, so 'after hours and hours of waiting I am forced to look for a hotel and hope in a little 'more' luck for the next day.
I am not happy with this solution because I do not like the village, but around 17 I met a German girl staying in my own hotel ... she got stuck because they want to reach my own goal ... mood improves immediately, we decide to travel together for the next 7 days and to celebrate the happy meeting we go to drink in a small bar where there is a little 'music. With her there is a Malagasy boy who has been a guide in the afternoon ... super fun evening ... drank, danced, sang ... met a lot of people ...

The boy who started with us saying that he does not know where to go to bed and asked her to stay in the room with her ... is quite insistent ... when I go out of my room because of the rumors I am not surprised that much and resolve the situation by offering to sleep in my room ... I sleep with Lisa.

is still a little chat ', unaware of what' that there is going to happen!

's midnight when a guy armed with a knife burst into our bungallow ... panic ... neither is able to remain calm ... she was immediately detained by the strong close of the boy and the knife pointed at my throat ... I am terrified of what it can 'happen to me throwing him to the boy and try to remove your hand from the throat of armed Lisa ... meanwhile enters the second after having focused where the bags take the first that comes his way and starts to run ... also the first lets go and runs out .... Lisa is shocked, stands still next to the sink ... I run after the bastard who has my backpack and in the meantime scream like a maniac hoping someone will hear me and wake up ... I can also grab it for a few seconds, but makes no effort to free himself from my grip, and keep running ... the dark and the vegetation does not help me ... I lose the his tracks and with them all my money, travelers checks, camera, phone, and a lot of other things.

Idue boys were caught immediately and the two following days I had to spend at the police station for interrogation and the various awards.

It was nice to see all the various tortures to which particular one of the boys has undergone ... and when I asked them to stop they simply move to another room ... but the screams were still loud and clear.

Of all the stolen property was found only the phone, some travelers and some other thing of no use or value.

One of the things I learned in these 50 days of Madagascar is here that corruption is widespread, I should not wonder if after having made me see that the system works now they were all sitting drinking a beer with my money!
police chief during my last day at the police called me into his office to tell me that he knows where my stuff, but his hands are tied, can not 'recover. According to what he tells the guy that grabbed my backpack lives in the house of the head of the gendarmerie, who has a habit of covering it in exchange for 80% of the loot ... who knows ... the only sure thing is that now I'm forced to go home!

Dry Macular Degeneration More Condition_symptoms

I'm sorry, but the event has only been postponed!

Guys, as you noticed my promise to share my journey of updating the blog has not been maintained, but the internet connection here is rare and even when it is too weak to download photos and too unstable to write something.

I'm fine, the trip goes just fine when I get back and download the pictures and I will tell you everything.

A big kiss to all who come to peek every now and then.
